Simpson Strong-Tie® EDT22S 22 oz Manual Dispensing Tool

The EDT22S is Simpson Strong-Tie's manual dispenser for 22 oz side-by-side adhesive cartridges. Its steel carriage is engineered for high-volume, continuous use, and its 26:1 drive delivers the thrust that thick two-part epoxy requires. Conversion parts are included to switch the tool from 22 oz 1:1 ratio cartridges to 16.5 oz 2:1 ratio cartridges. Code-listed adhesives such as SET-3G must be dispensed with Simpson Strong-Tie tools to comply with their ICC-ES evaluation reports.

Which tool do I need for the SET-3G 22 oz cartridge?

A Simpson 22 oz dispenser: this EDT22S manual tool, or Simpson's EDTA22P pneumatic or EDTA22CKT battery-powered tools. A standard caulking gun or the CDT10S will not fit.

Can the EDT22S dispense the 8.5 oz SET-3G or AT-3G cartridges?

No. Those are coaxial cartridges and require the CDT10S.

Why is the EDT22S the tool for rebar connection work?

ICC-ES ESR-4057 lists the 22 oz and larger dispensers, including the EDT22S, for SET-3G post-installed rebar connections. The CDT10S is not listed for that use.
